Madelyn's Baby Dedication

We dedicated Madelyn to God today!! It was a great experience. Pastor Mary Ellen performed the dedication and she did a wonderful job!! At our church, they focus on the meaning of the child's name and then find a Biblical verse for each individual child based on the meaning of their name. Madelyn means high tower and the Bible verse that was chosen for her was Proverbs 18:10.

"The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the Godly run to him and are
safe." Proverbs 18:10

Madelyn had quite a crowd at her dedication. Grandma Patty, Grandpa Dave, Uncle Josh, and Great-Grandma Morr all came to support Madelyn. Grandma Jane, Grandpa Randy, Uncle Cory, Auntie Abby, and Uncle Blake all drove up from Galveston to be with us for the day.

Auntie Abby and Uncle Blake are getting married in less than 2 weeks!! Hurray!!!

Grandma Jane and Grandpa Randy gave Madelyn "Tiny Bear's Bible" after her dedication. She absolutely loved it!!! There is a fuzzy bear on the cover and anytime anyone held it in front of her she just stared at it in amazement.

She was all smiles for Uncle Cory too!

Maddie was a little cranky at church after the service, so we thought we would take pictures at lunch. We took one of the three of us...

And one blurry picture of the Beck family before...

She pooped all over her beautiful white dress and had to be a naked baby!! We weren't able to get any pictures of her with the Worthington side, which was a real bummer!! We are going to have to work on being more ladylike!!

Maddie's Favorite Things

Our house has been very busy lately!!! I am working 4 days a week, trying to take care of Madelyn, and our house. I am starting to do some new things at work. We are starting to do all of our sedated auditory brainstem response testing in the operating room, so I am going to be in the operating room a lot more. I have also accepted a job with Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program in Indiana. As long as we get the contract ironed out, I start July 1st!! I am very excited about doing some new things at work. Josh has a lot of projects at work right now. He is also playing golf in Bridgewater's golf league and playing church softball again.Maddie starts is still at Lakewood Park for daycare. Next week, she is going to start staying with my mom whie I am at work. Maddie had her 4 month check-up and shots on May 29th. She weighed 14 lbs and 1 oz (75th percentile), was 24 1/4 inches tall (55th percentile), and had a head circumference of 15 3/4 inches (45th percentile). She did just fine with her shots. On another note, she had an ear infection in May and still had fluid in her ear as of Wednesday. I think we are on the path to tubes just like her daddy!! Other than that all is well. We are enjoying all of the warm weather and sunshine. We love being outside!!
Maddie loves to go for walks with me. She smiles and laughs the way. She was being so cute this day, I had to stop walking and take some pictures!!

She just can't get enough of her fingers!!

She enjoys sitting like a big girl in her bumbo or bimbo as Grandma Patty likes to call it.
Eating toys is always fun too!!
You just can't beat a nice bubble bath.
At the end of the day, she loves sleeping with her hands over her face!!! Who would have thought??
