Maddie and Daddy!!

Random pictures of Josh and Maddie. He was trying to work on the computer and play with her at the same time. I got a Sandra Boynton CD from the library yesterday, so Josh and Madelyn were singing some of the songs together. It was sooooo cute!!!

First Trip to Kokomo

Madelyn has been doing great for the last 2 weeks! She has been quite the social butterfly!! Last Thursday my co-workers at ENT threw her a baby shower. We had a great time visiting with everyone and eating yummy cake!! Madelyn was a big hit and everyone wanted to hold her and talk to her.

On Friday, Madelyn met my friends Sandra and Angie. Sandy was in town from Houston and stopped by to visit. Angie brought her two kiddos—Gavin (5) and Presley (2 ½) over. Gavin said that our house was so boring that it was like being in the country until he found out we had a Wii, then we had the coolest house ever. Presley was so cute I gave her a bowl of vanilla wafers because she kept saying that she was hungry. Gavin wanted to share the cookies with her, but Presley didn’t want to share so she took them all and hid them under Madelyn’s baby swing. I couldn’t find the camera, so I missed a photo op—oops! We had a great afternoon with everyone.

Saturday, Josh, Maddie, and I went on a road trip to Kokomo. It was Josh’s Grandma Dorothy’s birthday. We were able to visit with both sides of Josh’s family. Madelyn was able to meet all of her extended family for the first time. She was a trooper in the car and all day considering that it takes us 2 hours to get down there.
Here are some pictures from our adventures!

6 Weeks and counting...

We have had a busy last few weeks. Madelyn was really fussy for a week and a half. It seemed like everytime we weren’t holding her just right she would be screaming her head off. She did not want to eat, sleep, or cuddle. I took her to the doctor’s office to get checked out and her doctor thinks she has acid reflux. So, Maddie has to take Zantac twice a day now. It is mint flavored and she HATES how it tastes and throws a big fit everytime we give her the medicine. It seemed to work really well the first few days, but she has started to be more fussy again.

I read the “Babywise” book this week to try and figure something out for her fussiness. We started doing some of the things out of it and Maddie seems to be sleeping a lot better. She slept from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. one night this week…not bad for a 6 week old!! Most night she is only getting up once, so I am feeling more rested.

Josh and I were able to go and visit our friends Frank, Sherry, Graham, and Mitchell this weekend. It was so nice to see them. Madelyn was well behaved for the majority of our visit. She ended up sleeping through most of it.

We have another busy week planned. Madelyn has a baby shower at ENT on Thursday. My friends Sandra and Neal are coming home next weekend to visit (they live in Houston, TX). We can’t wait to see everyone!!

Madelyn after church. I think she is pondering the sermon.
