Just too cute!!

I have been a little slow to update lately, but it seems like the amount of free time I have keeps decreasing. I now have 3 weeks of work under my belt and Maddie has 3 weeks of daycare. I am not sure who it has been harder for...Maddie hasn't been sleeping very well at daycare, I think that there are just too many things to look at and new sounds. We are lucky if she sleeps 2 hours throughout the day. Because she doesn't sleep all day, she is extremely exhausted by the time she gets home and just wants to go to bed. It is so hard being away from her all day and then having her sleep all evening and night!! She has been doing awesome at sleeping through the night. She usually goes to bed around 7:00. I wake her up to feed her one last time around 10:00 and then she sleeps until 6:00 or 7:00 a.m!!! We are so lucky that she is such a good sleeper.

We haven't done too much since I went back to work--just normal stuff that would bore everyone to death! My friend Mavis and her little boy Jackson did come up for the Vera Bradley sale. They stayed all night and then we took both babies to look for purses...I think we are CRAZY!! Luckily we didn't have to wait as long as a lot of people, but it was so crowded it was really hard to look at anything while pushing a stroller. Jackson loved Peanut!!! He was so funny we had Peanut in our front room behind a baby gate and Jackson would run up to it every chance he would get saying "doggie, doggie..." He was really sad when Peanut went to sleep for the night. It was so nice having Jackson and Mavis here...they helped us find out what things we need to work on for baby-proofing.

Maddie on her way to the lake for the first time!!! She is ready for some sunshine!!!

  1. Oh my gosh--the tutu is way too cute!! I cannot believe how much she is sleeping for you. I know that must be hard as you probably want to spend that time cuddling with her. But hopefully she'll be able to stay up for longer stretches as she gets a little older. Then you'll say, "Remember when we had all of this free time in the evenings?" ;) Ha! Happy Mother's Day!
