Coming HOME!!!

Madelyn and Mommy were dismissed from the hospital Saturday, January 31st around 12:00 p.m. She was bundled up in her little teddy bear outfit and looked so cute even though it was way too big (it is newborn size). She slept through the whole car ride home. Later that night she met her cousin Brayden AKA Tank. He is almost 3 months old and weighs 14 lbs, so he made Madelyn look really small. She also met Aunt Jessica and Uncle Jonathan for the first time.


Maddie went to the pediatrician for the first time on Monday. She has regained her birth weight already and the pediatrician said that she looked great. On Tuesday, she went to go have her newborn pictures taken--wow was that an experience!! She was asleep when we got there and pretty much woke up the second we took her out of her seat and cried the rest of the time. We wanted some naked pictures so the photographer had us strip her down and Madelyn decided to pee and poop all over Mommy. So it was pretty much a disaster.


Her first 2 nights at home went very smoothly, she would sleep, feed, get changed and go back to sleep. She must have known that Daddy was going back to work this morning because she decided to fuss and be up all night last night.
